Eco Villas Cala Tarida

Set on an elevated coastal site with uninterrupted views towards the Mediterranean, the house is conceived as a sequence of horizontal platforms extending towards the landscape and the sea. The architecture follows the natural slope of the terrain, allowing the different levels of the villa to step down towards the garden and infinity pool while preserving long views from the principal living spaces. Deep overhangs, cantilevered terraces and large areas of glazing reinforce the horizontal character of the house and provide protection from the strong Mediterranean sun.
Organised across several levels, the house is designed around a continuous relationship between interior and exterior spaces. The main living areas open completely onto generous terraces, landscaped courtyards and the pool, creating a single sequence of spaces for living, dining and entertaining. Bedrooms occupy the more private areas of the upper levels, each benefiting from extensive glazing, private terraces and direct views towards the sea. At sunset, the principal outdoor spaces become a natural extension of the house, with the infinity pool visually merging with the horizon.
The material palette combines pale natural stone, warm timber, textured render and slender dark metal frames, introducing a contemporary language while retaining the warmth and character of Mediterranean architecture. Floor-to-ceiling glazing dissolves the boundaries between inside and outside, while timber soffits and carefully integrated lighting create depth and intimacy beneath the large projecting roofs.
Mediterranean planting, including olive trees, aromatic shrubs and low native vegetation, is woven between the architectural volumes and terraces, softening the geometry of the building and anchoring it within its surroundings. The result is a house in which architecture, landscape and sea are closely connected, offering open communal spaces for family and guests while maintaining privacy within the individual bedroom suites.
